Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis (BSOA)- Office Administration. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2025. Abstract: This study examined the impact of office administration practices on the organizational efficiency of Barangay Secretaries in the Municipality of Buhi, Camarines Sur. It specifically assessed the effectiveness of records management, communication flow, scheduling and time management, documentation processes, and general office organization. The study also sought to determine how these administrative practices influence the overall efficiency of barangay operations and service delivery to the community. The study employed a descriptive- quantitative research design and utilized a research-made survey questionnaire as the main instrument for data collection. Respondents consisted of thirty-tree (33) Barangay Secretaries from the different barangays of the municipality of Buhi, selected through complete enumeration. Weighted mean was used to interpret the responses. Findings revealed that Barangay Secretaries generally practice effective office administration, particularly in organizing records, maintaining proper documentation, and communicating clearly with local officials and constituents. These practices were rated as highly implemented and contributed positively to achieving organizational efficiency. However, the results also indicated challenges, such as limited storage space, inconsistent review of records, and occasional delays in communication and scheduling, which were rated as areas needing improvement. Despite these limitations, the overall level of organizational efficiency among barangays in Buhi was found to be strong. The study concludes that sound office administration practices play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency of barangay operations. Strengthening administrative systems, upgrading office resources, and providing continuous training may further improve performance and service delivery.
