Undergraduate Thesis (BSOA)-Office Administration Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2022.
This study aims to determine the effects of financial stress on the academic performance of second year BSOA students at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges-Buhi Campus. It seeks to answer the following questions (1.) To determine the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of (a.) gender (b.) age (c.) status (d.) occupation of the parents (e.) monthly income (f.) monthly expenses; (2.) The financial stress experienced by the respondent (3.) The academic performance of the respondent (4.) Proposed recommendations to lessen the financial stress on the academic performance of second year students at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges-Buhi Campus. The methodology used was descriptive research method.
The conclusion drawn from the study are; (1.) The majority of the respondents are female, young adults aged 19-20 years old, single, occupation of the parents are unemployed, monthly income is less than 5,000 and the monthly expenses belong to the 5,000-10,000. (2.) The effects of financial stress on the academic performance of the second year BSOA students at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges-Buhi Campus financial stress experienced by the respondents was that they can clearly understand what it is like to be depressed or ashamed because of their financial situation. (3.) The academic performance of the respondents got a general weighted average pf (1.4-1.75). (4.) The researchers proposed a recommendation they majority agree to have been practical when they spend money.
