"Introduction to Computers for Healthcare Professionals serves as an introductory computer literacy text geared towards nurses and other healthcare students. The current edition is written in a "how to" format for developing computer technology-related skills, coupling brief descriptions of major concepts with detailed directions on "how to" go about using a given feature and a focus on understanding theoretical underpinnings and mastering practical skills. The text uses health care models throughout, a design that allows the content to be easily adapted for use in both introductory computer courses for healthcare professionals and courses in nursing fundamentals and administration.
