This study aims to determine the Program of Senior High School Students in Selected School in the Municipality of Buhi, Camarines Sur based Holland Theory of John Holland. A descriptive method was used in this study using questionnaires, determined the results of their career preferences. The following findings of the study: personal profile, majority of the age group belonged to 16-18 years old, or male and single; Economic Profile majority of the occupation of the parents are Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), within the income 5,000 category.
The program preferences of Senior High School Students offered by the K to 12 program listed according to their interest to take were ranked as follows; majority result has the total number of Six (6) or 20,7 percent in Management Courses; followed by Economics, Tourism, and Hotel and Restaurant Management has all five (5) or 17.2 percent; next was the Accountancy has the total number of four (4) or 13.8 percent; Marketing Legal Management has the total number of two (2) or 6.9 percent; Business Administration and Banking and Finance has all one (1) or 3.4 percent. Engineering with eight (8) or 50 percent; Medical Courses has three (3) or 18.8 percent; BS Medical Technology and nursing has all two (2) or 12.5 percent; BS Physical Therapy has one (1) or 3.4 percent. AB Political Science, Criminology has all two (2) or 25 percent; followed by the Philosophy, and Educational Development Communication has all one (1) or 12.5 percent. Secondary Education has five (5) or 71.4 percent and the next was the Maritime and Elementary Education has all one (1) or 14.3 percent. Automative Servicing has the highest frequency which four (4) or 80 percent and Consumer Electronic Servicing has one (1) or 20 percent. Music and Sports has the highest frequency which two (2) or 40 percent of the respondents; Theater Arts was one (1) or 20 percent. Bread and Pastry, Tourism Production on Service Livelihood House Economics, Business and Computer Technology, Broadcasting and Media Arts, Electronics and Electrical has the same frequency which is one (1) or 16.7 percent. When tested against the hypothesis, the students chose their program based on their interest, is the common reason that mostly the students preferred. The recommendations offered are: The researchers suggest encouraging the students to engage themselves in studying by explaining how education is very important and mange their time between plaything and studying. It is better to have another source of income to support the needs of the family. The researchers suggest that even though the said programs cited above are available in CSPC, they must improve and provide the best quality of education for the next learners from k-12 curriculum. The researchers suggest that even the respondents have their own rights to choose what they want in their future, it is still better to hear what the insights of their parents to their choosing career.
